Unsere Imkerei in Worin

Zwischen Müncheberg und Seelow an der B1 liegt Worin. Schon von weitem können Sie den hohen Turm unserer Imkerei mit dem Storchennest darauf sehen. Dort befindet sich unser Betriebsgelände mit Schleuderhalle, Wanderimkergästehaus und Lagerhalle. Hier schleudern wir unseren Honig, bauen und lagern das Material und bereiten alles vor für die Arbeit mit den Bienen.

Die Bienenvölker selbst befinden sich auf verschiedenen Plätzen in der näheren Umgebung. Dort finden sie schon im zeitigen Frühjahr reichlich Nektar und Pollen. Das kontinentale Klima im Märkisch-Oderland und die naturnahe Landschaft bieten den Bienen zu Beginn der Saison eine reiche Tracht aus Frühjahrsblüte, Raps und Robine. Im Hoch- und Spätsommer wandern wir dann mit den Völkern in die nähere Umgebung zur Nutzung der Tracht aus Linden- und Heideblüte.

Die Honigbienen erfüllen gemeinsam mit anderen Insekten eine wichtige Aufgabe in der Natur, weil sie durch die Bestäubung der Blüten die Vermehrung von Wild- und Kulturpflanzen ermöglichen.

Wir können den Bienenflug nicht direkt lenken. Jahreszeit und Standort beeinflusssen die Bienen bei ihrer Wahl und bestimmen die Honigsorte. Durch rechtzeitiges Ernten und durch sorgfältige Standortwahl gelingt es uns, reine Sortenhonige zu schleudern.

Wir bewirtschaften unsere Bienenvölker nach den Richtlinien des BIOLAND-Verbandes und arbeiten dort aktiv an der Entwicklung und Umsetzung der Imkerei-Richtlinen mit.

Our Apiary in Worin

Worin is located between Müncheburg and Seelow on the B1 road. Our apiary can easily be seen from far away as it has a large tower with a storks nest on it!

Here you'll find our base with the extraction room, guest house for travelling beekeepers, and storage sheds. Here we extract our honey, build and store equipment, and prepare everything for working with the bees.

The hives themselves are located on various sites in the surrounding area, from which they gather abundant nectar and pollen early in the year. The continental climate of the Märkisch-Oderland and the near- natural landscape provide a rich source of nectar from spring flowers early in the season, as well as from Rapeseed (Canola, Colza) and Robinia (Acacia).In mid and late summer we move the hives around the area to take advantage of the Linden (Lime) and Heather honey sources.

The bees, along with other insects ,fulfill an important task in nature - that of ensuring, by pollination, the propagation of both wild and cultivated plants.
We  can't control where the bees fly - season and place influence the bees' choice of flowers, thus determining the sort of honey gathered. By careful selection of sites for our hives and timely harvesting we are able to extract distinct varieties of honey.

We manage our business in accordance with the BIOLAND Association parameters, and continue to work actively with Bioland in the development and implementation of new organic beekeeping practices.
